I'm excited. I have a model in an ad for the Killer NIC network card in the November issue of PC Gamer. It's a World War II soldier with a bucket stuck on his foot. It was a quick turn-around time, so the original base model was a library model. I reworked it, adding new pieces and changing him to fit the soldier's look, re-uved, ZBrushed him for my normal maps and re-textured. I also rigged and posed him. I'll post some images of the character when I get to my desktop. I have a second character I did as well, but I haven't seen it advertised yet. I'll wait on posting that one until I do. Excited/happy.....eek! :D

hey there! thanks for the watchback.

I'm excited to see you learning ZBrush while I'm doing the same thing. How's it going?

Wow, sorry it took so long for me to get back to you.

Right now I'm going back to basics. I need to learn how to do proper edge flow for my characters before I get back into z-brush. Reading Stop Starring right now, but it's hard for me to pay attention to it.

I went to your site, and I must say, I enjoyed my visit. Your 3d models and concept designs inspire me, I'd like to add you to my list :D

Holy Crap! I just checked out all the stuff you posted on here recently from Thrive! Great Work!

Whatever happened to that project is it still going?

--
I'm all over it!
:iconejrekai:
We finished Thrive last year (Sept 2007). I just hadn't posted some of the stuff, so I made up some quick render sheets for them. We had a Thrive website, but we never posted it to be downloadable or anything.

Is it playable?

I'm all over it!
:iconejrekai:
Yes, it is playable, but you need a copy of Unreal 2K4 to play the mod. We had a school presentation in the cafeteria for the finished project and invited family, friends, faculty and students. We had a room setup upstairs for play as well. We even gave out copies of the mod. We made a few changes after that presentation, and I actually haven't played that version (I'd already moved by then). I made the Rasha model for the final revised version.
